Our first month on deputation has passed quickly! We had the opportunity to be in 7 different churches throughout Illinois, Michigan and Indiana in September. With several churches deciding to support us from our “day one,” and additional churches we’ve visited in September taking us on for support, we currently have just over 8% of our needed support level!
This week I was watching a bit of news from New Zealand that was interesting coming from one of the most religiously-free countries in the world (although politically socialistic). The prime minister was asked about her position on hate speech laws. She responded aggressively, intending to expand hate speech laws to include “gender identity,” which is concerning for churches across the country.
On the weekends this month, we had the opportunity to participate in the soulwinning ministries at our home church (Northwest Bible Baptist Church). We encountered Christian men and women each weekend who are discontent with their church and the direction it’s going, willing to come visit a church that’s open and preaching the gospel. There are people in cities across the country with the same sentiment! Be encouraged that there are people searching for the truth, spoken boldly!
God has supplied every need, above and beyond, as we’ve begun our travels. Your prayers have kept us safe on the roads and has allowed the presence of God to prompt response in the services as I preach and we present. Thank you for your faithfulness in praying.
