October has taught us to remain flexible on the deputation trail. COVID-19 has started to impact our travels via meeting cancellations, as we have had four meetings cancelled and rescheduled for 2021. This made it a slow month with only five scheduled meetings. God increased our support level from 8% to 12% this month in spite of the calendar changes. We are appreciative that each pastor has rescheduled us and also for other pastors who have been flexible and filled in the gaps in our calendar.

In New Zealand’s elections, held in October, the current Prime Minister was re-elected, which gave the Labour (socialist) party a greater percentage of the political power. There was also a referendum on euthanasia and cannabis. Although euthanasia received a majority vote, cannabis did not, oddly enough. Of course I would encourage you to pray for the conservative political party of New Zealand to grow, just as we would pray for the conservative numbers in America to grow. However, we know the real battle is spiritual and therefore please pray for the flames of revival and growth in the gospel-preaching churches of New Zealand to burn brighter following the politically-negative election results.

As previously mentioned, this month did not go as expected, yet God blessed, answered prayer, and provided for our needs. We were both able to lead people to Christ this month which is always an answer to prayer.

Thank you for your financial and prayer support.

God Bless,
Josh & Alyse Szwarga
